A blog, and a proper home for the files
Two changes to the site: written posts now live at /blog, and every downloadable model has moved to its own section at /downloads.
The site started as a place to park the videos and the model files that go with them. That worked while there were a handful of builds. It stopped working once the file list got long enough that finding a specific STEP meant scrolling through a project page looking for it.
So two things have changed.
Written posts live at /blog
Not everything is a project. Some things are a single fix, a part that failed in an interesting way, a firmware setting that took an evening to work out, or a note about what is coming next. Those never justified a project page of their own, so they went unwritten.
Now they have somewhere to go. Posts are short by default, tagged, and link back to the relevant project when there is one.
Downloads live at /downloads
The model files used to be spread across every project page, with a single flat list collecting them all. They now have a dedicated section:
- /downloads — every file from every build, grouped by project and filterable by format.
- /downloads/<project> — one page per project, with just that build’s files on it. Easy to link, easy to send to someone.
Project pages still tell you what is available and link straight through, they just no longer carry the whole file list inline.
The policy behind them has not changed and is not going to: the files are free, there is no account, no login wall, no ad-gated download button and no waiting timer. If a design was worth something to you, the Ko-fi button is there. If it was not, take the files anyway.
Useful?
The posts and the files are free and stay that way. If something here saved you an evening, a coffee on Ko-fi funds the filament and the next write-up.
